Party & Special Occasion Cakes

     When you are ordering a traditional cake for a special occasion these are the things we will need to know. First, how many people does the cake need to feed? What type of cake would you like (round double layer, sheet cake, square cake etc)? What flavor of cake and icing would you like? And last but not least, how would you like the cake decorated? If you have a theme for your party, let us know, we'll design something special just for your event. You can also bring in a picture, a plate or napkin, a special toy or a favorite cartoon and we will design your cake to match.

Wedding & Tier Cake

     When ordering a wedding/tier cake, the first step is to make an appointment with us to discuss your cake. We schedule cake consults for Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday. They usually take about 45 minutes. If you have any pictures of cakes that interest you, please bring them. You may also want to bring swatches of your wedding colors, pictures of flowers you would like on your cake (if any), the cake topper if there is one and an idea of how many people you will be planning for. We will not make any final decisions on your cake size until all of your RSVP's have been returned and you have a better idea on the number of people that will be attending.

     When you set up your appointment, I will email you some information on cake flavors & prices (also on Wedding/Tier Cake Info page). You will need to take a look at the flavors and decide what you would like to try. We will then make you two free 6" sample cakes of your choice. If there is anything else you would like to try, we will be happy to make them. The cost of each additional sample cake is $5.00. The cakes will be ready on the day of your appointment. They will be boxed up so you can take them with you. A lot of times when we set up an appointment, sometimes the groom or mother of the bride etc. are not able to attend. That's why we make the samples for you to take home. This way, everyone gets to try the cake. 

     Once you have decided that you would like us to make your cake you will need to put down a $50.00 nonrefundable deposit. This will guarantee that we will hold that date for you. If you have not yet decided and someone else is requesting the same date and time that you are, you will either need to confirm and put down your deposit or possibly lose that date.
